Plato Rosso NV Fertuna
Plato Rosso NV is a Tuscan red wine produced by Tenuta Fertuna. It is made from a blend of international grapes such as cabernet sauvignon, sangiovese, syrah, merlot. It is an elegant Tuscan IGT wine that represents the terroir of origin: the cellar is located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, where the land is composed of Galestro and a limestone sub-soil of Alberese. Here the Mediterranean climate is influenced by sea breezes and good temperature fluctuations that give refined aromatic kits to the grapes. Like the case of this "Plato" Rosso which, as required by the IGT specification, does not report the vintage because it is made up of a blend of different grapes at 15% each, and the vinification is carried out by putting together wines from the last vintage with other reserves stored in the cellar. The wine is then left to mature for a short period in French oak barrels, and rests for a few months in the bottle, in order to soften the tannin and achieve a nice final balance. Intense ruby red with violet reflections, it gives a lively fruity bouquet on the nose, together with floral notes of violet and toasted and vanilla hints. In the mouth it is medium bodied, harmonious with a delicate tannin, with good persistence. It goes well with appetizers or first and second courses based on not too structured meats.
