Le Pergole Torte 2016 of Montevertine is an important and legendary Tuscan wine made from Sangiovese, aged for 24 months in barrels and barriques. It has structure, elegance and evolutionary potential. The aromatic outfit is deep and fascinating, rich in flowers, black fruit, spices and graphite in a savory, fresh and mineral background. A great name in the Supertuscan landscape.
Produced for the first time in the 1977 vintage, it was the first 100% Sangiovese vinified in our Radda in Chianti area. The grapes come from our historic vineyards, planted between 1968 and 1999. It matures for one year in Allier barriques and one year in Slavonian oak barrels.

Alcoholic fermentation: in cement tanks for about 25 days
Malolactic fermentation: in cement tanks
