Pecorino 2018 Emidio Pepe

Pecorino 2018 is a fine wine from Abruzzo produced by Emidio Pepe. It is obtained from pure Pecorino grapes processed according to traditional biodynamic principles: the grapes are pressed with the feet and then it is vinified in white with indigenous yeasts and spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks. After a few months of rest, the wine is then bottled without filtration. With an intense straw color, Emidio Pepe's Pecorino expresses aromas of yellow fruit, flowers, herbaceous and mineral notes on the nose. The sip is rich and mineral, very persistent. A powerful white wine with a strong personality.

The winery, founded by Emidio's grandfather at the end of the nineteenth century, has seen four generations follow one another while keeping constant the high level of its wines produced according to the philosophy of biodynamic agriculture. Interventions in the vineyard limited to the use of natural substances such as copper, sulfur and biological compounds, exclusive use of indigenous yeasts and vinification in cement are the trademark of this great Abruzzi winery and of its fantastic natural wines.
