Morey St Denis La Rue De Vergy 2015 Christophe Perrot Minot
Morey St Denis La Rue De Vergy 2015 is a fine Burgundy wine produced by Christophe Perrot Minot. It is an unstructured red wine characterised by great elegance and minerality, made from Pinot Noir grapes grown on 4.82 ha of marvellous vineyard perfectly bordering on the Clos de Tart, from vines that are about 40 years old, resting on soil composed of very deep and resistant limestone monoblocs.
This terroir gives great minerality and flavour to the wine. In line with Perrot Minot's philosophy, which is always very attentive to every stage of production, fermentation takes place spontaneously using only indigenous yeasts, while the wine is matured in 20% new barriques for a period of between 12 and 14 months, depending on the characteristics of the vintage.
The Morey St Denis La Rue De Vergy 2015 shows a ruby red colour that is not too strong. The nose is intense and complex with fruity aromas such as plum and cherry on a background of spices and toasted wood. The mouthfeel is soft and balanced, fresh and sapid, delicately tannic and quite persistent.
