Massimo Palumbo is good, already previously a member of another opening as Gusto Madre now seriously in a restaurant all his own. It's called Balik, like the legendary smoked salmon fillet.
Opens in Turin in Via San Dalmazzo 26th, and we have tried it.
Modern, warm, with a touch of Nordic furniture (very nice blue sofas)
The menu is based above all on a thorough and important research on pizza, focaccia, a proposal with different doughs and grains, all rigorously with mother yeast and natural products.
These are focaccias and a gourmet square with top-quality products, such as cured ham and burrata, anchovies and octopus. The second part of the menu are fish burgers, interesting and tasty.
We tried a couple and they are worth the ride, especially the octopus.
Even the good desserts, and the really good San Domenico coffee.
Minimal wine list but with targeted labels of an intelligent distribution like Storie di Vite.
The experience is there. And it is a taste experience, a design for the restaurant really well furnished and human for the warmth of the guys who work there.
