Settesì Restaurant in Turin
In the same place n Via Provana where before there was “Vo” there is now a restaurant called “Settesì”.
At the helm there are Alessandro and Laura of Sacra at the Borgo Nuovo, a restaurant that ran near the Sacra di San Michele.
We ordered two appetizers and two first courses in two and we ordered a bottle of Renosu Bianco di Dettori. We spent € 50 a head (the price of the wines was 20€)
The dining room seemed a little hot, and with a "messy" style, tables that perhaps should be covered with tablecloths because they do not make the difference as furniture, indeed.
Even the lack of light inside the room does not make the environment pleasant.
Same thing for the plants near the window that increase the "disorder" of taste.
Coming to the dishes the first ordered appetizer, the vitello tonnato was correct, beautiful the idea of sticking it like a "raviolo" a but the taste was far from really exciting.
The second appetizer instead, the mullet on a cheese base, we did not like because the cheese had too intense flavors, so as to completely cover the fish.
Same thing for spaghetti (a very confusing dish) and the ravioli (a little better, but always unbalanced in the flavors).
The will is there, but the road should be corrected. More than anything, it is the positioning of the kitchen that we do not understand. If you want to go to a more refined kitchen as it seems, the road is really uphill and the competition is strong given the prices not too far from 1 Michelin stars offering a more solid cuisine.
Better to start with simple dishes and first-class raw materials at lower prices. You can improve decor and wine list, too basic.
The kitchen then with experience can improve and you can dare more.
Good luck guys !
