La Rogerie is a winery that unites Alsace and Champagne, founded in 2015 by the couple Justine Boxler from Niedermorschwihr and François Petit from Avize, both from winegrowing families.
The vineyard in Champagne is mainly located in the commune of Avize, classified as Grand Cru and stretching as far as the gates of Cramant and Oger, where Chardonnay grapes were planted in the 1950s, selected from mass plans.
La Rogerie is dedicated to caring for its terroir, encouraging soil life with compounds, eradicating herbicides and promoting biodiversity. The horse and tractor alternate with ploughs to ensure the root system of the plants dives deeper into the soils to extract the purest of chalky terroirs.
The winery produces authentic and distinctive wines in both Alsace and Champagne, reflecting the wonderful granite-based terroirs in Alsace and craie-dominated terroirs in Champagne. La Rogerie is dedicated to enhancing the purity of expression of their wines, with maniacal attention to the well-being of the vineyard and its surroundings, to preserve nature and the plant heritage.
