lo Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru "Clos St Jacques" 2014 is a fine French wine from Burgundy, produced by Domaine Bruno Clair. The Pinot Noir grapes come from the prized Premier Cru St Jacques vineyard, and it is a classically styled Gevrey Chambertin, very refined and elegant. To the eye it shows a very vivid and bright ruby red color; to the nose it expresses a complex bouquet with marked notes of wood on a background of currant and raspberry, delicate rose petals and hints of tobacco. In the mouth it is savory and fresh, but at the same time soft, with silky and fine tannins. Suitable for aging, it needs a few years to express itself at its best.
