Furore Rosso 2020 Marisa Cuomo
Furore Rosso 2020 is a red wine from Campania produced by Marisa Cuomo. It is produced with a blend of red berried grapes typical of Campania region such as Piedirosso, which gives fruit and smoothness, and Aglianico which gives structure and tannin. Vineyards grow in inaccessible areas, on terraces located near the sea, at an altitude ranging from 200 to 550 meters (650 to 600 feet) with slopes which sometimes exceed 60%.
The soils are composed of dolomitic-calcareous rocks which, together with the climate, give the wine a characteristic freshness and a nice sapidity conferred by the influence of sea currents. The fermentation with maceration on the skins takes place in barrique, where the malolactic fermentation follows, for a duration of about 12 days. Afterwards the wine ages for 6 months in barrique of second passage.
The wine "Furore" Rosso of Marisa Cuomo winery has a vivid ruby red color, whereas the nose has fruity aromas of cherry and blackberry as well as spicy hints of Mediterranean scrub. The sip is pretty structured, crisp and mineral, refined.
