Franciacorta Brut Contadi Castaldi
Franciacorta Brut is a sparkling wine from Lombardy produced by the Contadi Castaldi company. It is made from a blend of Chardonnay 80%, Pinot Bianco 10%, Pinot Nero 10%, the Chardonnay is predominant and this gives the wine a great elegance, which is smooth, balanced and pleasant.
The fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks, while steel containers and barriques are used for ageing. The sparkling wine then matures on the lees for 20-26 months, and it is this last part that enriches the wine, making it full-bodied and structured.
Straw yellow in colour with a fine and persistent perlage, it has a fresh nose characterised by floral notes of lime, citrus fruits, white peaches and light spicy hints of green pepper. The taste is fresh and balanced, very pleasant to drink and smooth with a nice flavor and good length. A classic and enjoyable Franciacorta.
