Château Lynch-Bages, fine wines from Bordeaux

Château Lynch-Bages is a historic winery in Pauillac, Medoc. Founded in 1691 by John Lynch, an Irish nobleman in exile, the winery was taken over by John's son, Thomas Lynch, who ran the estate brilliantly from 1749 to 1824, producing high quality wines called "Cru de Lynch", later classified as Grand Cru at the 1855 Paris EXPO.

After the Second World War, however, the estate was bought by the Cazes family, who still own it today. Today, the estate is a museum. In the old wine cellar, there is still the original equipment of a company that keeps pace with the most modern technologies and a production philosophy that aims to preserve, enhance and exalt the characteristics of the terroir.

The property has about one hundred hectares of vineyards where the main protagonist is Cabernet Sauvignon, which is cultivated together with other vines such as Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, from old vines that are about sixty years old and produce grapes of excellent quality. From these grapes, rich, dense and deep wines are obtained: high-class bottles from Château Lynch-Bages, which blend the aromaticity of the varietal with the nobility of ageing in wood: wines of the highest class.
