The Charmes-Chambertin Tres Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru 2015 is a fine Burgundy wine produced by Domaine Joseph Roty. It is a precious bottle because it is composed of Pinot Noir grapes that come 61% from old vineyards dating back to 1881. Domaine Joseph Roty is distinguished by the production of rich and structured bottles, which are not lacking in harmony and elegance. The Charmes-Chambertin is one of the most discussed Grand Cru, because it comes from a particular terroir with a great qualitative difference between the south and the north part, the latter of higher quality composed of clay and pebbles. The fermentation and aging of this wine takes place in 80% new wood. With a bright ruby red color tending to garnet, the Charmes-Chambertin Tres Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru 2015 expresses a bouquet of small red fruits, caramelized notes and spices typical of the Pinot Noir of this area. In the mouth it is materic but maintains a great harmony and elegance.
