Champagne Rosé Gaston Chiquet
Champagne Rosé is a Champenoise method natural sparkling wine, produced by the Gaston Chiquet company. The cuvée is made up of 40% Pinot Meunieur, 30% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. Pinot Maunieur gives the wine its structure and intense fruity aromas, chardonnay gives elegance while pinot noir gives length. This Premier Cru comes from vineyards of around 25 years of average age, an area in the municipalities of Hautvillers, Dizy, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Here the clay-limestone soils with the presence of chalk and marine fossils ensure the necessary solar heat, excellent water drainage, good summer humidity and a large supply of minerals. Champagne Rosé Gaston Chiquet has a soft pink color tending to copper, with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose releases hints of berries and cherry, which we find in the mouth together with a beautiful freshness. This Champagne has a remarkable structure and a nice length. DENOMINATION: Champagne AOC
REGION: Vallée de la Marne, Chamoagne (France)
GRAPES: 40% Pinot Maunieur, 30% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir.
VINIFICATION: The harvest is manual and fermentation takes place in small temperature-controlled vats. The rosé is obtained by blending with the local red wine (Coteaux Champenois). A champagne with excellent structure, balance and elegance.
The philosophy behind winemaking Natural wine does not mean only without the addition of sulphites, it means working according to the ancient winemaking traditions with sulfur and copper in the vineyard, based on the effort of manual labor, an activity that is the least interventionist possibility that the cycles of Nature make winemaking of grape juice as well 'is, without some substances if not their own. The result of all this production philosophy is natural wine, a non-standardized wine that best expresses its identity, its terroir and its most intrinsic causes. Natural wines are much more difficult to produce than wines to which we are traditionally accustomed, because when there is no help from the use of balancing substances and support for winemaking, wine cannot be a way of putting: o it's good or bad. Natural wine was born as the commitment of the natural artisan winemakers to raise their product to the standardization of the taste and identity of the wine and the vineyard which, thanks to the widespread use of chemistry and new technologies, now leads to products with always the same flavors, regardless of the production area or the type of cultivation required.
