Champagne Cuvee Louise Double Magnum 1990 Pommary
Champagne Cuvee Louise Double Magnum 1990 is a fine sparkling wine produced by Pommary. Untraceable cuvee of great quality and finesse, it is composed of a blend of 40% Pinot Noir and 60% Chardonnay. Surprisingly fresh nose, with a refined elegance. It has the typical traits of the great aged champagnes, then roasting and roasting, but then it gradually opens up on hazelnut fatness, white floreality, fruit also with white paste and an intense, deep minerality, more tied to memories of flint. It is, in short, a nose that is anything but powerful or mature as many 1990s are today, indeed, in addition to the typical elegance of the label, it appears even young! The mouth is round and still fresh, smooth and with a nice mineral tension, with the caressing bubbles, linked to a tasty fruity peach development, as well as a very long distension dominated by Chardonnay, with a long and persistent finish that can always be refined and verging on the liveliness of a much less 'dated' champagne. The drinkability is surprising, absolutely unexpected for a champagne top.
