Carema Black Label 2016 Cantina dei Produttori del Nebbiolo di Carema

The Carema Etichetta Nera 2016 is a fine wine of Piedmont produced by the Cantina dei produttori del Nebbiolo di Carema. It is obtained from 100% Nebbiolo grapes which here expresses at its best its fruity and spicy characteristics. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with maceration for about 12 days, then it is aged for 12 months in large oak barrels. Ruby red in color with garnet reflections, it emanates aromas of ripe red fruit and sweet spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. In the mouth it has a medium body, delicate and refined but with good tannin. Good to drink now, it will give its best in a few years, perhaps combined with meat dishes, aged cheeses and typical Piedmontese dishes.
