Biancopiglio Etna White DOC 2018 Sciacca
Biancopiglio Etna Bianco DOC 2018 is an Italian white wine produced by the Emilio Sciacca far. It is made with a blend of indigenous vines from the Etna area whose vineyards grow on the north side of the volcano: Carricante, Catarratto, Grecanico Dorato and other indigenous vines that represent the Sicilian terroir of origin in a pure and distinct way. Here the soil, of volcanic origin and sandy matrix, gives the wines a very interesting mineral aromatic set, which is why the wines of Etna are continuing to receive appreciation from world critics. This Etna Bianco DOC 2018 ferments cold for about 12 hours, ages in steel fermenters for 6 months plus a couple of months of settling in the bottle. Straw yellow in color, tending towards golden, it has an intense olfactory profile, mainly mineral and with delicate fruity and floral notes. The sip is pleasantly fresh and fruity, quite persistent. Perfect match with appetizers and first or second courses based on fish, white meats and vegetables.
