GRAVNER

Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Oslavia in the heart of Collio Goriziano, Josko Gravner's winery is a tribute to tradition and innovation in the world of wine.

Known as the master of orange wines, Gravner has revitalized the ancient practice of terracotta amphorae and long macerations on the skins. His estate spans 32 hectares of land, with over 15 dedicated to vineyards, surrounded by forests and ponds, havens for diverse wildlife. Respecting natural cycles, Gravner follows lunar phases in agricultural work, consulting Maria Thun's calendar for vineyard operations.

He exclusively cultivates indigenous grape varieties like Ribolla Gialla and Pignolo, abandoning international varieties to preserve terroir authenticity. Vinifications take place in buried Georgian amphorae, using indigenous yeasts and extended contact between must and skins.

The result is unique wines, imbued with extraordinary vitality and depth, conveying the essence of the land and a reverence for nature.
