Description

Beaujolais-Villages 2021 Georges Duboeuf

George Duboeuf's Beaujolais-Villages 2021 is a representative red wine from the Beaujolais region of France. Duboeuf has been something of an ambassador for the region, making Beaujolais known throughout the world by offering high-quality wines.

The grapes of the Beaujolais Villages come from indigenous vines with an extension of about 30 hectares, their exposure is towards the south-east, and two thirds are over 50 years old (but some vines are almost 100 years old).

Harvesting of the grapes for the production of this wine, from 100% Gamay vines, is done manually, in whole bunches, with complete destemming before pressing. In the cellar, the must ferments for 10 to 12 days with semi-carbonic maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing in wood.

Beaujolais Villages is a light and drinkable red wine, ideal for drinking throughout a meal. In order to enjoy it thoroughly, it should preferably be drunk young and no more than one year after bottling.
