Barolo Falletto Vigna Le Rocche 2015 Bruno Giacosa
Barolo Falletto Vigna Le Rocche is a legendary wine, a monument of Italian oenology, a masterpiece of the winery Bruno Giacosa, master and father of fine Italian wine, capable of producing some of the most important bottles in the world, such as some vintages of Barbaresco Asili Giacosa and the almost mythological Collina Rionda. The philosophy behind his bottles is always the same: to produce wine according to tradition, without barriques and limiting the use of substances in the vineyard as much as possible. With his death he has left an important void in the world of wine, but the winery continues to produce excellence, following the firm principles of its founder.
Giacosa Barolo Falletto Vigna Le Rocche is made from pure Nebbiolo grapes, harvested by hand. Only the best grapes are vinified to obtain the best possible wine, the alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously in cement tanks with a maceration of almost a month, the refinement of this fine Piedmontese wine continues, as per tradition, in large casks for 36 months.
TheBarolo Falletto Vigna Le Rocche Giacosa presents itself in the glass of a regal ruby red tending to garnet, approaching the nose you immediately realize you are in front of a great Barolo: liquorice, rose hips, violet, cherry and spices are revealed slowly, like all great wines needs time to open! In the mouth it is poignant, a mix of power and elegance, an important tannin supported by a magnificent freshness. The finish is very long, almost infinite.
We are in front of a bottle that has made the history of Italian wine, a fine Piedmontese wine that continues to excite us, year after year.
