Barolo 2015 Burlotto
Barolo 2015 is an Italian fine wine produced by Burlotto, one of the most relevant names in the panorama of wines from Piedmont. It is made from Nebbiolo grapes that grow on medium-limestone soils tending towards sandy. The bunches are harvested manually and the vinification involves a 15-day fermentation-maceration in oak vats, with daily pumping over and punching down. Subsequently the wine ages for about 10 months in 3-5 HL drums and for about 20 months in oak barrels. After bottling, the wine rests in the cellar for at least 12 months before being marketed. Burlotto's Barolo 2015 shows a deep ruby red colour; on the nose it releases hints of plum and berries, dried flowers, spices and earthy aromas. The sip is structured, sapid, tannic and persistent.
