The Barolo 2010 Aldo Clerico embodies the purest expression of Nebbiolo grown on the prestigious hillsides of Monforte d’Alba, one of the most renowned areas of the Langhe. In the glass it displays a pale ruby colour enriched by intense garnet hues, reflecting the grape’s natural evolution.
Its aromatic profile is broad and refined: floral notes of violet and rose blend harmoniously with Nebbiolo’s typical scents of powdery nuances, red berries and creamy hints from the oak ageing. The nose is fresh, multifaceted and austere, offering remarkable complexity.
On the palate the wine opens softly and generously, supported by a dense, compact tannic texture. Initially firm, the tannins gracefully evolve over time, enhancing flavours of liquorice and violet that echo the bouquet. Long and persistent, this Barolo shows outstanding structure and balance, making it a wine capable of ageing for over twenty years and a true representation of Monforte d’Alba’s terroir and Aldo Clerico’s craftsmanship.
