ACCOMASSO

Lorenzo Accomasso, the history of Barolo

Lorenzo Accomasso is the history of Barolo, he is the soul of a time spent in the Langhe, for more than twenty years he was president of the Cantina Comunale di La Morra and today he is its honorary president.

As early as the 1970s, Accomasso began pruning the vines short in order to obtain a quality harvest and was the first to anticipate the Additional Geographical Mentions, being the first to write the name of the Cru of his Barolo: Rocche and Rocchette.

Vinification is absolutely traditional, as his father taught him: spontaneous fermentation at 18 degrees for 20-25 days. In spite of his age, he still personally takes care of his vines and rows, as well as working in the vineyard, to give life to his children: Barolo Rocchette and Barolo Rocche.

Lorenzo Accomasso's wines are real wines, not always perfect, they are peasant wines as they used to be made in the past, reflecting human imperfections. They are without doubt the best expressions of the La Morra territory.
