Barbaresco Rabajà 2007 Castello di Verduno
The 2007 Barbaresco Rabajà is a Piedmontese wine of considerable value and elegance, produced by the Castello di Verduno winery. The best Nebbiolo grapes are selected and the alcoholic fermentation with maceration on the skins takes place for about 40 days with continuous punching down. The wine then matures for 20 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by 2 months of rest in stainless steel, and then a further 26 months in the bottle. The Barbaresco Riserva "Rabajà" expresses an intense garnet red colour to the eye. The nose expresses aromas of ripe red fruits, followed by herbaceous tones, spices, balsamic and wood notes. The sip is full, robust and elegant, with amalgamated tannins and a long finish.
