Amarone della Valpolicella "Monte Lodoletta" 2010 Romano dal Forno
"Monte Lodoletta" Amarone is a fine Italian wine from Valpolicella produced by the Romano Dal Forno company. It is a red wine of great elegance and complexity that reflects the territory of origin in a pure way. The very long period of aging in barrique allows the wine to reach harmony and an expressive balance of extraordinary elegance and finesse. The Amarone della Valpolicella "Monte Lodoletta" 2010 is made from a blend of grapes traditionally grown in this wonderful hilly area: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. The harvest takes place only when the grapes are perfectly ripe, which are then left to dry for about 4 months in the fruit cellar. The wine ages for at least 60 months in barrique before being bottled, and shows a beautiful dark ruby red color; the nose expresses an elegant bouquet of ripe red fruit, cherry, plum, licorice, sweet spices, notes of bitter cocoa and chocolate. The sip is large and enveloping, with dense aromas and a silky tannic texture, very long persistence. Romano Dal Forno's wines are a point of reference and a beacon for all Valpolicella.
