Allegrini's Amarone della Valpolicella is a fine red wine produced in the Veneto region of Italy. The Allegrini winery is renowned for producing high quality wines, and Amatone is an emblematic example.
Allegrini's Amarone della Valpolicella is produced using grapes from the Valpolicella Classica area, located in the Veneto region of Italy. The grapes used for the production of this wine are mainly Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta.
The grapes are grown following traditional and sustainable methods, with special attention paid to soil management and the balance between the vine and the environment. Harvesting is done manually and the grapes are carefully selected.
Winemaking involves the use of the appassimento technique, which involves partially drying the grapes before fermentation. This process concentrates the sugars and aromas of the grapes, giving the wine greater intensity and complexity.
After drying, the grapes are crushed and fermented at a controlled temperature. Next, Allegrini's Amarone della Valpolicella is aged in oak barrels for at least 18 months, then rests in bottles for an additional 6 months before release.
Allegrini's Amarone della Valpolicella has a deep ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a bouquet of ripe red fruit, spices and toasty notes. In the mouth, the wine is full, warm and enveloping, with soft tannins and a lingering finish. This is a wine with great structure, suitable for aging and pairing with rich, flavorful dishes.
