Frank Cornelissen is a winemaker of Belgian origin with a volcanic and charismatic temperament, who has become a great protagonist of the Etna wine scene.
The unique terroir of the Mountain, as it is called the volcano from the local population, studied and shaped by the genius experimenters of Cornelissen gave life, starting from 2001, to unique and expressive wines, become cult objects for enthusiasts from all over the world.
His production philosophy is summarized by a sentence engraved in large letters on a wall of the cellar: "Before being good a wine must be true!"
The company and the vineyards are located in the northern valley of Etna, a valley that is considered today the best area for single vineyard red wines, such as the Côte-de-Nuits in Burgundy or the Langhe in Piedmont.
The surface of the company is about 24 hectares, 13 of which are old vines in the classic sixth in Alberello, 9 of old vines transformed into modern rows of varying width, about two hectares of olive trees and the rest fruit trees, grasses and woods .
