Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru Les Genavrieres 2010 is a fine Burgundy wine produced by Domaine Monts Luisants. The 100% Pinot Noir grapes come from the Les Genavrieres vineyard which is one of 20 Premier Cru climates in the Burgundy appellation of Morey-Saint-Denis. Located on the hillside above the appellation's Grand Cru vineyards, this high position gives it a cooler climate than the other vineyards in Morey-Saint-Denis. In addition, the east-facing position allows the vines to enjoy excellent exposure to sunlight, enriching the aromaticity of the grapes. The composition of the Les Genavrieres site is made up of fine soils rich in rock and limestone, which give the wines great minerality. This Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru Les Genavrieres 2010 is bright ruby red in colour, expressing a nose of red fruits, spices and minerals for a very fresh and mineral sip. It is a great red wine predisposed to long ageing.
